Ron Berglas
Ron received his official certification as a mediator from the National Association of Certified Mediators, and shortly thereafter began mediating for the California Lawyers for the Arts, virtually in the Sacramento Superior Court.
Ron mediates for the Center for Conflict Resolution of Los Angeles, the Riverside Community Action Partnership, Southern California Family Mediation, and the Civil Rights Division of the Dispute Resolution Department for the State of California. He is an active member of the Southern California Mediation Association.
Ron has been in conflict resolution for many years. In 2008, after receiving a Master’s Degree in Education and Instructional Technology, he began working in a continuation high school in southern California where students who found the regular public school system challenging, are sent to make up their missing credits. During that time Ron chaired the Student Intervention Team, tasked with mediating between students, their families, and the school. The vast majority of Ron’s students went on to graduate because he learned how to listen without judgment, but with patience and compassion. After he retired it was a natural progression for Ron to become a professional mediator.
Before becoming a teacher Ron worked as a professional actor in the UK, US, and Europe for 25 years. He has had articles published in the New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, the Fort Myers News Press, the North County Bar Association Magazine, Contemporary Family Magazine, The Daily Journal of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Paralegal Association Newsletter.
Magnum Mediation was created by Ron in order to provide a safe space to which people in conflict can come to resolve their disputes securely, confidentially, and inexpensively.
